I have never heard of the name Mr. Drew before- Rex Omar

Executive of the Ghana Music Rights Organization, GHAMRO, Rex Omar has said that he doesn’t know Mr. Drew.

Speaking during an Okay FM interview monitored by GH Page, Rex Omar said he had never heard of Mr. Drew before.

Rex Omar’s comment comes in response to the musician’s statement that he had not received a peanut from GHAMRO.

The staunch NDC member claims that, had it not been for that interview, he would not have heard the name Mr. Drew, revealing that the musician had not registered with GHAMRO.

“I have never heard of his name. It’s like buying a car and not registering with an insurance company, and when you get an accident, you say that you’ve not benefited from any insurance company”, he said.

He went on to question, “Is he a member of GHAMRO? Has he gone to GHAMRO to fill out a form to sign his music rights?” Adding that “you have to assign your music rights to GHAMRO to enable the organization to protect your songs”.
